OVERVIEW

Account Hierarchy within the Receivables application allows users to manage activities and transactions for all accounts within the hierarchy within the top-level company. The parent or top-level account within the hierarchy displays an opton to 'show all accounts', which will display all the invoice and payment records associated with their subsidiaries or child accounts.

HOW IT WORKS

You can enable Account Hierarchy support by navigating to Settings & Utilities > Site Options > Options. There is an option: "Enable National Account Support" in the Options tab under the Options section.

Once this option is enabled, the option to 'Show All Accounts' will only appear on the top-level or parent accounts related to the following grids and views, and will display all the transactions within the hierarchy:

• Account Overview, Statement of Accounts

• Within an activity, transactions tab

• Inquiries by Account:

  • Statement

  • Invoices

  • Payments

Activity and transaction management across the hierarchy

• Transactions across the hierarchy can be tagged within an activity

• All functionality within activity on Transaction's tab

• Tagged invoice amount within the activity

• Tagged invoice snippet codes can be used in email subject and email body

• Tagged invoices can be used to attach the invoice documents to email to the parent or top-level contact

Functionality not currently supported

• Promise to pay within the activity, Payment tab, updates according to payments made to the parent account

• Activity, Attachment's tab, reports selected and attached will only include details for the parent account, Tagged Invoice report is not supported with 'Show All Accounts' selected

• Payments, Apply Cash and Edit payment methods disabled when 'Show All Accounts' selected, i.e. a parent cannot make payments across child accounts within the Receivables client. This functionality is only handled in Self-Service
